① 依據通風管道的斷面尺寸和所處的部位肯定絕熱固定釘的數量。

② 肯定固定釘位置后，先將通風管道壁上的塵土、油垢擦凈，再將粘接劑分別涂抹在通風管道壁面和保溫釘的粘接面上，稍后再將其粘接在一同。固定釘粘牢后應待12~24h后再覆鋪絕熱資料。

③ 絕熱資料下料要精確，套裁下料，切割面要平齊，搭接處不要有縫隙。縱橫縫錯開，小塊資料應盡量用于通風管道上平面中間部位。

⑤ 絕熱層外纏玻璃絲布維護層時，先將玻璃絲布按通風管道斷面尺寸的大小裁成幅寬為200~400mm的長條，并卷成小卷備用。也可依據通風管道斷面尺寸的大小、直徑選用定型加工的不同幅寬的玻璃絲布。纏繞時，先用“∏”形鐵釘固定端頭，然后拉緊玻璃絲布纏繞。邊纏繞、邊整平，不得有折皺、翻邊等現象。圈與圈間兩邊搭接處的搭接寬度普通應為30~50mm。末端一定要用“∏”形鐵釘固定，否則容易松動、零落。
